Songwriting & Music Production

Are you interested in creating your own music? Maybe you already
write music and are wanting to produce your own professional-quality compositions? Or are you already a music producer looking to further your skills in a specific way?

Whether you see music as a hobby or profession, the Songwriting and Music Production course at Dalkeith Road School of Music is designed to fulfil your musical goals in a time frame appropriate to your schedule. 

We are now offering the following package deals:

Pro Tools (professional production software) 

  1. Duration - 6 weeks, during weekday from 4pm. Cost - 1 person: $420 ($70 per 1 hour weekly lesson)
  2. Duration - 6 weeks, during weekday from 4pm. Cost - 2 people: $360 each ($60 per 1 hour weekly lesson)

Garageband (free mac production software) 

  1. Duration - 6 weeks, during weekday from 4pm. Cost - 1 person: $420 ($70 per 1 hour weekly lesson)
  2. Duration - 6 weeks, during weekday from 4pm. Cost - 2 people: $360 each ($60 per 1 hour weekly lesson)

Paul van Nimwegen produces compositions electronically in a variety of genres, ranging from classical orchestral arrangements to heavy dubstep. He is also an experienced performer, having played orchestral pieces at the Sydney Opera House and electronic music sets at numerous nightclubs in Perth. After his completion of a Certificate III in Music Production at SAE Qantm College, Paul won the Perth Dance Music Award for ‘Best New Talent’. He plays several instruments including trumpet, guitar and piano and is currently producing music under the titles ‘Paul Alexander’, ‘Future Entity’ and ‘Poseidon Dubstep’. Paul is a well-accomplished and passionate musician who encourages his students towards producing excellence with heart.
