Our piano lessons are designed to build strong foundations while keeping students engaged and encouraged. Whether just beginning or continuing your musical journey, we focus on steady progress, good technique, and a genuine enjoyment of music.

Lessons are tailored to the individual, with multiple experienced teachers available across a range of days and times.

Keaton Staszewski-Hose

Although Bach and Mozart are Keaton’s greatest musical idols, he is thrilled by all genres and particularly enjoys playing jazz standards on the piano. Keaton graduated in 2021 with first-class honours from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He has since gained experience as a professional singer in Perth working with the West Australian Opera Freeze, Frame Opera, St Georges Cathedral Consort, Giovanni Consort and Wesley Singers. As an accompanist, Keaton has played for students at WAAPA, All Saints College, Mazenod College, Breaksea, and is the accompanist for the Perth Hills Choir. Keaton is passionate about sharing his love of music with his students and the Nedlands community.

Olivia Synn

Olivia is a passionate and dedicated musician with over 15 years of piano experience and 6 years in vocal performance. She holds an ATCL Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance and has completed ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5. Olivia has also performed internationally in choral competitions, including the Busan Choral Festival and the Bali International Choir Festival, earning Gold awards with her ensembles. Hugely popular with students, Olivia brings a gentle yet enthusiastic approach to her teaching. She is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, at ease, and inspired to enjoy making music.

Luke Button

After completing a degree in Media and Communications at Curtin University, Luke decided to return to his passion of music and teaching in 2024, where he is currently undertaking a degree in Music Education at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Though he completed ATAR music on the clarinet, his passion for contemporary Australian piano music, improvisation and composers such as Clementi and Hensel led him to studying piano performance alongside his education units. In May 2024, he studied under Argentinian pianist Andrea Katz during the Lieder and Art Song Project, and has since accompanied for exams and school plays.

Dr Nicholas Williams

Dr Nicholas Williams is a pianist, educator and researcher based in Perth, Western Australia. He studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), completing a Master of Arts (Performing Arts) in 2020 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2025. In 2021 he was awarded the Royal Overseas League Early Keyboard Prize.

Nicholas is an active performer in Perth, appearing regularly as both a soloist and accompanist. He has a particular interest in the music and performance styles of the nineteenth century, and enjoys bringing this repertoire to life for modern audiences. His performances often explore the music of lesser-known composers and the traditions of great pianists of the past.
