Lucinda Marley Quartet at Dalkeith Road

Saturday 20th of April at 7.30PM

Come and experience an intimate evening with Lucinda Marley as she invites you into a night of personal and melodious storytelling. Her selection of original works and arrangements draws upon emotional themes of love, loss and hope. On the night, you can expect to hear songs written by a few of Lucinda’s most admired artists including Kristin Berardi, Norah Jones and Ella Fitzgerald. Gracing the floor with Lucinda are some of Perth’s finest and most renowned musicians: Harry Mitchell (piano), Alistair Peel (double-bass) and Ben Vanderwal (drums).

This is the first performance in the 2024 series 'Concerts at Dalkeith Road.'

The Magic Kazoo

Saturday 27th of April at 3.30PM and 5.30PM

Adapted from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, The Magic Kazoo is a new 40 minute adaptation (by Penny Shaw and Tommaso Pollio) of this magical opera. It is designed to appeal to children. Being a kid is a dangerous business! Negotiating friendships, a furious mother, and anxiety about starting a new school is literally a nightmare for Tamino. Luckily he has his favourite toy, Papageno, to console him, and the power of music to set him on his way to rescue Pamina from the Kingdom of the Night.

An Evening With Harriet Dupont

Harriet Du Pont invites you to an evening of music as she prepares to attend the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester in September. Harriet is joined by her two friends, Jesse Linke and Laurence Westrip, who will sing a cumulation of Opera and song by composers such as Mozart, Puccini, Hahn, Schubert and more! A fabulous night of song helping to fundraise for Harriet’s studies in Manchester.

Accompanied by Glenn Hogue on the Piano.

Freeze Frame Opera Presents: Rapunzel

Fresh from their 2023 Schools Tour, a talented young cast present Freeze Frame Opera's 'Rapunzel' based on Rossini's Comic Opera 'The Barber of Seville.' Featuring a new libretto by Director Penny Shaw, the witty plot will be enjoyed by audiences young and old. Doors open at 5.30PM with free Fairy Floss for all. Limited seats available!

Laurence Westrip In Recital

Join Laurence with an evening of song, as he prepares for life in Manchester. Performing songs from throughout the musical life including composers such as Mozart, Bizet, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Joining him are long time collaborators and friends Beth Redwood, Keaton Staszewski and Tommaso Pollio.

Cosi Fan Tutte

Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th of March

A talented cast of WAAPA Classical Voice graduates and guest student artists performs Act One of Mozart’s comic opera Cosi Fan Tutte. The story follows an audacious scheme by cynical Don Alfonso to prove the unfaithfulness of women to his young proteges, Ferrando and Guglielmo. The unbelieving lovers don disguises, each attempting to woo the other’s sweetheart. Don Alfonso enlists Despina, the sly Maidservant, to help her ladies, Fiordiligi and Dorabella, accept the lovers’ advances. With all kinds of silly mischief afoot, who knows what will happen in the end!

Performed in Italian with English surtitles.
