Who: This workshop is suitable for absolute beginner songwriters, lyricists and Garageband enthusiasts through to advanced music artists, and also serves as an exciting taste of the songwriting and production lessons that DRSoM will be offering from Term 4.

Cost: The 11 hour workshop is priced at $140 total per child however we are offering a discount for bookings of two or more children in one payment at $120 per child (please include both children’s details in the Message box) so bring a friend or sibling!

You will receive an email upon sign up, tickets are available via the Tickets page, we also accept bank transfer or cash on the day as organised via the enquiry form below. Proof of payment is required prior to workshop commencement.

The Dream Team: Naomi Geste and Lucas Jones are both teachers at DRSoM and local Perth songwriters currently refining their craft at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. They have prepared two extremely exciting days of music, games and activities where children will work together in a group to write and record their very own song. The workshop will cover the basics of how to write a song, from chords and rhythms to melodies and lyrics, as well as how to make a recording of themselves using Garageband. Naomi and Lucas are looking forward to sharing a whole lot of knowledge and laughs with all involved, creating new memories and a brilliant song!
